This course provides fundamental aspects of gas turbine engines. That includes gas turbine applications, types, auxiliary systems and components. The fundamental of gas turbine engine cycles and performance are covered particularly for power generation and aircraft applications. Topics include operating principles of the combined cycle and the multigeneration systems based on the gas turbine engine as a primary mover. Also, the routine maintenance procedures of the gas turbine engines are described.
